The Oakland A’s made a mistake in letting Miguel Tejada walk

The A’s thought they had the perfect replacement for Tejada in Bobby Crosby and he did win the Rookie of the Year. But, he’s been awful since then. He’s always hurt and he hasn’t played well when he has been healthy. In 435 games in his career, Crosby is 383 for 1,597 (.240 avg, .701 OPS) with 219 runs scored, 48 homers and 173 RBIs. Those type of numbers just won’t get the job done for the A’s as Marco Scutaro has a similar stat line for his career. In 551 games in his career, Scutaro is 427 for 1,650 (.259 avg, .704 OPS) with 211 runs scored, 31 homers and 174 RBIs. Maybe the A’s should see if anyone else buys into the Bobby Crosby hype and off him for a starting pitcher.
