The A’s will likely go bargain hunting in free agency looking at players like Randy Winn, Rick Ankiel, Garret Anderson and Xavier Nady. But, they will likely be looking to make a lot of trades with the extra young pitching that they have on hand. Trading for Jake Fox will help the team but they need help at DH and either a 1B or 3B for the 2010 season and I seeing them filling those holes in the trade route. The A’s did make a big offer to Marco Scutaro before he signed with Boston so they must not be sold on Cliff Pennington as a starting shortstop, so keep that in mind this week. One player the A’s are likely to move in a trade is Rajai Davis as the team doesn’t value base speed much and he could get them a decent player in return based on how he played last year.
