The Oakland A’s sign Beau Jones
The A’s have signed 25-year old lefty reliever Beau Jones to a minor league deal. Jones pitched in 22 games (0 starts) in AAA-ball earlier this year with the Braves and he was 2-1 with a 7.54 ERA and a 1.90 WHIP. He has now pitched in 238 games (42 starts) in his first 8 years in the minors and he is 29-18 with 11 saves, a 4.14 ERA and a 1.48 WHIP. It’s highly unlikely that Jones will make it to Oakland this year.
