He has now pitched in 217 games (0 starts) in his first seven years in the majors and he is 9-11 with 2 saves, a 4.51 ERA and a 1.51 WHIP. Zach Thornton pitched in 48 games (0 starts) in A-ball for the A’s last year and he was 4-0 with 16 saves, a 4.53 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. This was a really good deal for the A’s as Resop should be able to help the bullpen in 2013 and beyond.
